What stays on your device
Your daily entries can include period flow, mood, pain, symptoms, notes, powers, signs and the colors that form your mandala. Moonwave stores this journal locally so you can use it without creating an account or sending entries to a Moonwave database.
How private iCloud sync works
When iCloud is available, Moonwave uses Apple's private CloudKit database for the Apple account signed in on your device. This lets your compatible Apple devices stay in sync without Moonwave operating its own journal backend. If iCloud is unavailable, the app can continue storing entries locally until sync becomes available.
What optional analytics contain
Optional product analytics are deliberately coarse: actions such as completing onboarding, opening a screen or starting an export. Raw dates, notes, symptoms, flow, mood, pain and mandala contents are not included in those analytics. Analytics sharing can be changed in the app's settings.
Exports happen when you ask
PDF and data exports are created only when you choose to export. Once you save or share a file outside Moonwave, that destination's privacy rules apply, so exported journal files should be treated as sensitive.
Deleting your journal
Moonwave includes an in-app deletion control for settings, mandalas, daily logs and custom signals. Deletions sync to iCloud when private iCloud sync is available.
