Moonwave Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Moonwave. By using Moonwave, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The Service

Moonwave is a cycle and mandala journaling app. The app helps you record cycle settings, daily mandala entries, moods, symptoms, notes, colors, powers, signs, reminders, exports, and related reflection patterns.

Moonwave is designed for personal wellness reflection. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, contraception guidance, fertility guarantees, emergency care, or regulated health services.

Eligibility

You must be legally able to agree to these terms to use Moonwave. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Moonwave only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for deciding whether Moonwave is appropriate for your own circumstances and for complying with laws that apply to you.

Your Journal

Your journal may include sensitive cycle-related information. You are responsible for the information you enter, the devices and Apple/iCloud account you use with Moonwave, and any files you export or share.

Moonwave does not create its own account system for your journal. When iCloud sync is available, journal data may sync through Apple's private CloudKit/iCloud services for the Apple/iCloud account signed in on your device. Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services are governed by Apple's own terms, policies, and settings.

Wellness Disclaimer

Moonwave is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical judgment. Do not use Moonwave to diagnose or treat a medical condition, make contraception decisions, confirm fertility or pregnancy status, or delay seeking medical care.

Cycle predictions, summaries, patterns, reminders, and reports are informational only and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. If you have a medical concern, contact a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

Free Trial

Moonwave may offer a 7-day free trial of unlocked app features. The free trial is local app access, not an App Store subscription trial, and it does not automatically convert into a paid subscription.

Moonwave may limit trial availability per device, Apple/iCloud account, or other reasonable signals used to prevent repeated trial abuse. We may change, suspend, or stop offering free trials at any time.

Purchases

Moonwave may offer a one-time lifetime unlock through Apple's App Store in-app purchase system. The lifetime unlock gives you access to the paid Moonwave features available for that purchase while Moonwave is offered and supported.

The lifetime unlock is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. The price shown in the app is set through the App Store and may vary by country, currency, tax treatment, promotions, or Apple's pricing rules.

Apple processes App Store purchases, payment information, receipts, refunds, and chargebacks. Moonwave does not receive your full payment card details from Apple. RevenueCat may be used to manage purchase and entitlement status.

Restore Purchases and Refunds

If you reinstall Moonwave or move to another device, use the app's restore purchase option to restore an active lifetime unlock associated with your Apple ID, subject to Apple's App Store and Family Sharing rules.

Refund requests for App Store purchases must be made through Apple. We cannot guarantee refunds and cannot directly reverse App Store charges ourselves.

If you believe your purchase is not being recognized, contact support and include only the information needed to investigate the issue. Do not send sensitive journal exports unless they are necessary for your support request.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Moonwave. This means you will not:

• Use Moonwave for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive purposes.
• Attempt to bypass purchase, trial, entitlement, or access controls.
• Reverse engineer, modify, resell, redistribute, or exploit Moonwave except where allowed by law.
• Interfere with the operation, security, availability, or integrity of Moonwave or related services.
• Upload, export, transmit, or share content in a way that violates someone else's rights or privacy.

Exports and Backups

Moonwave may allow you to create JSON exports or PDF mandala reports. Exports may include sensitive journal data. Once you export, save, share, or back up those files outside Moonwave, you are responsible for protecting them.

Moonwave cannot control third-party apps, share sheets, cloud drives, printers, email providers, or other destinations you choose for exported files.

Privacy

Your use of Moonwave is also governed by the Moonwave Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores, how iCloud sync works, how optional analytics are handled, and how deletion works.

Availability and Changes to Moonwave

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features of Moonwave at any time. We may also fix bugs, change supported operating systems, update purchase offerings, or remove features that are no longer practical or safe to provide.

We try to make Moonwave reliable, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or able to recover every entry after device, iCloud, operating system, or third-party service issues.

Intellectual Property

Moonwave, including its design, software, text, graphics, and other app materials, is owned by Moonwave or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-transferable license to use Moonwave as provided through the App Store.

You keep your rights to the journal content you enter into Moonwave.

Apple Terms

When you download or purchase Moonwave through Apple's App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store, Apple Media Services, iCloud, device, and payment terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms of Use and Apple's required terms for App Store distribution, Apple's required terms may control to the extent of that conflict.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Moonwave is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Moonwave and its owners, developers, service providers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, health outcomes, or personal decisions made using the app.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to Moonwave will be limited to the amount you paid for Moonwave in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50 if no payment was made.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limits, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as Moonwave changes. Material changes should be reflected in the app, App Store listing, or website before release. Your continued use of Moonwave after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Moonwave's owner or operator is established, unless consumer protection laws where you live require otherwise.
